Are you Embarrassed to Wear Second-Hand Clothes?

“What if the person who donated the sweater I just bought at the thrift store SEES ME wearing their throwaway sweater?!!!” 😱😱😱

I’ve heard this so many times, and to that I say... WHO CARES!

I thrifted this sweater on a Saturday, wore it on a Monday, posted this photo to Instagram, and immediately got a message from the gal who donated the sweater!

You guys! I was so PROUD! And I thanked her profusely for donating MY NEW FAVORITE SWEATER!

I’m not... embarrassed. Why would I be?!

Second hand doesn’t mean second rate!!

It means... there’s a system in place for a community to reduce the amount of perfectly good stuff that would otherwise find its way into a landfill.

It means, the sharing of resources.

It means, fiscal support (thrift store) for a local non-profit charity organization.

Wearing second hand isn’t something to be ashamed of. It’s something to be PROUD OF!
